Review: Caca Rouge Lush Henna
Caca Rouge Lush Henna Review - A Pursuit for a healthy purple tint
Before
After
Lush Caca Rouge Henna Mixed with Beetroot Juice
I intended to create a purple tint to my hair by adding beetroot juice to the melted henna block (just as a friendly lady in the shop advised). Unfortunately, I got more of a mahogany color than a healthy purple tint...but IT IS GORGEOUS! I love this color! So nice! Sometimes mistakes are miracles!!
Reason for using henna: My hair was a little dry and I intended to add a purple tint
The Verdict
Were the instructions easy to understand for the mixing?
Henna blocks from Lush are quite tricky to melt because it takes a bit of patience. 3/5
Was the application straight-forward?
No! Henna is the messiest thing ever! 2/5
Did the included conditioner work very well?
There was not one includes. On the other hand, the cocoa butter within the Lush henna blocks DO make the hair VERY SOFT and SHINY! It is very much a deep-treatment conditioner as well as hair colorant. 5/5
Do I like the end result?
I love it! So so shiny! So so beautiful! Move over Cheryl Cole! 5/5

Review- Scwarzkopf Live Color XXL Shake it Up Foam in Dark Chocolate Delight
The Pursuit of Natural Color
I decided that it was time to go to 'au natural' I'm naturally a very dark brown and I chose something a bit lighter than my natural brown. Since my best friend swears by Schwarzkopf's Shake it Up Foams, I decided to give it a go. I chose the 'Dark Chocolate Delight' shade.
I used the shade on the bottom furthest right I DO NOT OWN THIS IMAGE

After

The Verdict
Were the instructions easy to understand for the mixing?
Yes, I would daresay that the 'shake it up' dyes are even easier to mix than the regular Schwarzkopf box dyes. 5/5
Was the application straight-forward?
I found it very easy. I would say that it does drip a bit though. 3/5
Did the included conditioner work very well?
Yes, it was in a little sachet rather than a little tube which I would have preferred. The conditioner itself smelt lovely and made my hair very smooth. 3/5
Do I like the end result?
It is a MUCH DARKER brown than it shows on the 'milkshake' packaging. It did not cover all of the purple all that well. However, it was very shiny. Still, I was not very impressed at all. 2/5

Would I use this again? No probably not. It IS a nice shade of brown, but definitely 2 shades darker than it shows on the packaging. I may still try out the other 'shake it up' foam dyes in different shades one day.

Review- Schwarzkopf Live Color XXL Cyber Purple 46
I think this is THE BEST permanent hair dye in existence!
Mind you, I rarely use permanent dyes that are not by Schwarzkopf; probably the main reason being that I mainly read very positive reviews about them.I have actually used this hair dye before
First time using Cyber Purple. It was over the top of previously bleached blonde hair. |
Hell yeah, it looks just like it does on the box!

Well...sorta
So how did my most recent adventure with cyber purple turn out?
Before
Ash Blonde hair (Nice 'n Easy 106) |
After
After using Cyber purple |
And I love it!!!
The Verdict
Were the instructions easy to understand for the mixing?
Yes, I always find the 1:1 mixing ratio of Schwarzkopf hair dyes brilliantly straight-forward 5/5Was the application straight-forward?
I found it quite easy. The mixture started changing my hair pinky-purple after only just the first 5 minutes. It progressed to get darker during the 30 minute development time. 5/5Did the included conditioner work very well?
I love the conditioner. Unfortunately they now do not put the conditioner in a resealable and re-usable tube like they used to. You can not re-seal the small sachet of conditioner that they now provide, but, for the conditioner itself I reckon a 5/5Do I like the end result?
Gorgeous! Far more purple than I expected! I just wish that it could also manage to dye my dark brown roots. It had absolutely no effect on my roots. To be fair, my naturally hair color is stubbornly dark and INCREDIBLY close to being almost black in some lighting. 4/5My roots and dandruff |

Would I use this again? Definitely. Just next time in the near future, I might try out a dye that is recommended for dark brown hair (cyber purple is recommended for medium blonde to medium brown hair).

OC ponies- hama bead style and more hair rediculousness
What have I been up to recently?
Cupid Bowsaw being cheeky |
I'm female and straight, he is male and straight. My pet pikachu Reese is homosexual.
Reese |
So what's going on with the hair?
I have the semi-ridiculous idea of putting a permanent purple dye on my undercut. The reason is because I have a bit of my natural dark brown hair poking through where I have not bleached it. I have this idea of eventually growing out my hair and then dip-dying it with my favourite dye Cyber Purple by live color XXL. It says it is recommended for mid-blonde to medium brown hair and I want to see if it works on my natural hair because my natural color is much darker than the hair colors recommended for usage of that particular product. I have used it over bleached hair before and it was GORGEOUS and did not completely fail like when I put Live Color XXL Mystic Violet over bleached hair.Me with my natural hair 4 years ago (left) My beloved Auntie Judy RIP (right) |

Review: Nice 'n Easy 106 Natural Medium Ash Blonde
Today we go Ash Blonde with Nice 'n Easy
Nice n' Easy 106 Natural Medium ash Blonde |
I have had pale platinum blonde hair recently and silver hair recently. I decided that I love them both so much that I would choose something in the middle of blonde and silver. In my opinion, ash blonde has similar tones to silver so that it what I went with.

The Verdict
Were the instructions easy to understand for the mixing?
I found them very easy to understand. 5/5
Was the application straight-forward?
The application went quite well. The thin nip on the top of the application bottle makes it very easy to get in there with the roots. However, points are down because I had QUITE A LOT OF ITCHINESS on my scalp before it was time to rinse the product out. I did get a little worried during application because it looked turned a pale brown BEFORE rinsing, but maybe that was to be expected? Because of the itchiness, I will have to give this only a 1/5
Did the included conditioner work very well?
It did not seem to have any scent to it (nice or bad). I like that you get enough for one application every six weeks. However, I did not think the conditioner was that useful because I found it a bit hard to distribute just a small amount on my hair. I found the conditioner almost kind-of dry. 2/5
Do I like the end result?
Hell yeah! Really, really DOES look like the color on the box! It was recommended for medium blonde to medium brown hair and I was surprised that it worked so well on my VERY PALE (dyed) PLATINUM BLONDE hair. It looks fantastic! 5/5

Would I use this again? Yes, I certainly would!
However... next time I WILL do an allergy reaction test first to be on the safe-side! I would really like to know whether the itchiness was a one-off thing or whether my skin might have a health problem with this product or one of it's ingredients.
But seriously! EVERYONE should do an allergy test before the application of ANY hair dye products.

My First (Full-Faced) Attempt at Makeup Since I Were in Year 9 at School (2008)
I have not worn a full face of make-up since 5 years ago
I do sometimes put on just a bit of eyeliner for a special occasion or if I just want to feel a bit more feminine, but I have not really bothered with makeup that much since secondary school.I used to suffer from terrible acne that I would cover-up with a thick layer of foundation in a failing attempt to hide it. I often got teased for how ridiculous I looked. The 'popular' girls got away with wearing just as much make-up and seemed to get away with it without being teased. I guess that other students assumed that I wanted to be just like the 'golden girls' This WAS NOT the case!
Let us see is I can try and do make-up right this time...
Wish me luck!

Spongebob Collection
Most of us like to collect things. For me, its strange hats and spongebob stuff. My dad collects badges and unusual coins. My brother collects my little pony toys, and my mum collects...well...hoards newspapers.
So what Spongebob stuff do I have?
Admittedly, I do not have the biggest collection ever but I would definitely still count myself as a collector! Let me show you what I have:Left to right; Spongebob keyring, Spongebob hand-puppet, Spongebob mini plushie |
Cardboard Spongebob (boat not included) |
Miniature Spongebob Umbrella (free gift in Spongebob magazine) |
My favourite Spongebob poster (I have about 4) |

Cupid and Applejack Having a Tea Party
Hey there sugarcube...
My best friend Chris' nickname is Applejack. He often invites me and our other friends to tea parties and thus often runs out of teabags. Mum recently bought him a box of 'Twinings Everyday Tea' which has 160 teabags. Personally, I think it will only last him 2 months.
Sometimes...A good friend and a cup of tea can solve anything |
My Inspiration and Media I Used
Tea parties with my best friend inspired me to do this drawing (above) of Applejack (representing Chris) and Cupid Bowsaw (representing myself).
I used (mostly) watercolor pencils because I very much like their bright vibrancy of color. I use them in the same method as using regular colored pencils.
Is Cupid blowing a purple bubble?
No. He is a unicorn whose magic dust looks like a purple aura. His unicorn horn is helpful for picking up items such teacups. Goodness knows how Applejack must manage to balance a teacup on her hoof.

New Glasses
I have not been 'that girl with the glasses' since secondary school. Turns out that I need to wear them again. I am long-sighted.
Sam my brother needs to wear glasses as well. He is also long-sighted. If you ever want to know what my natural hair color is, it is exactly the same color as Sam's hair (very dark brown).

My Best Friend's Guinea Pigs
Darth's evil red eyes are looking at you! Even Obe is scared! |
But BE WARNED! They use their cuteness as their superpower! They are VERY, VERY HARD TO RESIST!
Beware if you are a cucumber!
Darth and I |
Obe Saying Hello |
Despite usually being the shyest of the two, Obe is usually the easiest to pick up and cuddle. He is not quite as brave as Darth, but he is certainly the calmest. Obe is a silver agouti and white rough pet (so I have been told) but he could be a Peruvian. An expert on guinea pigs said that he probably isn't a pure-breed but he is still a very beautiful boy! Which is a nice thing to hear because Obe certainly thinks he is beautiful! There is a little mirror in the guineas' house and Obe is almost always staring at himself!
Obe and Darth Have A Facebook Page!
Please do check it out! I'm not on facebook anymore but Chris would be super happy for anyone who puts a 'like' for their facebook page:https://www.facebook.com/ObeAndDarth

Cupid Bowsaw
I finally sketched out my fan-made pony character
Introducing...
Wood against a sanding wheel make the noises "Squee..." "Crrr..." and "Hummm..." |
Cupid Bowsaw:
The most perfectionist craftsman in all of Equestria
A very talented colt who makes furniture for the residents of Ponyville. His home and workshop is based inside a very large tree-trunk in the Everfree Forest. He has a very muscular body and is a very attractive colt, popular among the young fillies who catch a glance.
Having only left school a few years ago, he has now started a career all by himself. He is self-taught and changed his surname to Bowsaw after an argument with his parents who live in Canterlot.
Despite his masculinity, he used to get teased during his early years for his typically feminine color-scheme (especially the pink coat of fur) which he can not help because he was born with it. The bullying has been left behind him since he left Canterlot High School, studying Training For the Future Royal Guards, he dropped out when he only had a year of his studies left. He used to be told that he looked like a filly. His classmates would call him "Quinn" which is a female name or "Piggy" because he is pink like a pig.
Cupid Bowsaw
Name: Cupid Bowsaw
Gender: Male
Likes: Dying sections of his mane dark blue, carpentry, designing buildings and furniture, flirting with the ladies, being his own boss
Dislikes: Being bossed around, strict rules, arrogant ponies
Nicknames: 'Q', 'Quinn', 'Piggy'

The Element Of Wood-working
Went to town today and I found a tiny door. It made me look quite tall by comparison. I am a tiny 4"10 woman, an inch shorter than my mum.
I have created a pony character using General Zoi's pony generator:

Introducing Cupid Bowsaw: The Element Of Woodwork
I have created my own pony character by using the flash game in the link above. My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is a great inspiration for me. Cupid Bowsaw is a representation of my love for making furniture out of wood. I thought of the name while making my very own bow saw at Ashley Down College. The Bow Saw I Made All By Myself At College |
